1. Who We Are

BTC Regime ("we", "us", "our") operates the cryptocurrency market analytics dashboard at btcregime.com. For privacy inquiries, contact us at support@btcregime.com.

2. Data We Collect

• Account data: Email address and hashed password (bcrypt) when you create an account. We also store your subscription tier, trial status, and account creation date.
• Payment data: Processed entirely by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, and subscription status. We never store, access, or process your card details.
• Telegram data: If you connect your Telegram account, we store your Telegram chat ID and linking timestamp. We also store notification delivery state (e.g. last briefing sent, last regime score sent) to avoid duplicate alerts. You can disconnect Telegram at any time from your account settings.
• Usage data: IP address, pages visited, API request counts for rate limiting. Retained for 90 days.
• Cookies: A single HTTP-only authentication cookie for session management. We do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• Wallet addresses or private keys
• Trading history or portfolio data
• KYC/identity documents
• Browsing data outside our site
• Biometric data

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process personal data under the following legal bases:

• Contract performance: Account data and payment data are processed to provide the service you signed up for (Article 6(1)(b)).
• Legitimate interest: Usage data is processed for rate limiting, security, and abuse prevention (Article 6(1)(f)).
• Consent: Where required by law, we obtain your explicit consent before processing (Article 6(1)(a)). You may withdraw consent at any time.

5. How We Use Your Data

• Provide and maintain the dashboard service
• Process subscription payments via Stripe
• Send Telegram alerts and daily briefings (if you connect your Telegram account)
• Payment receipts and billing notifications are sent by Stripe directly
• Enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
• Prevent trial re-use (we track whether your account has used the free trial)

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with data brokers.

6. Third-Party Services

We do not share user data with our market data providers (Coinglass, Financial Modeling Prep, FRED, DefiLlama, Hyperliquid). Data requests to these providers contain no user-identifying information.

7. International Data Transfers

BTC Regime operates from Singapore. Your data may be processed in the United States by our infrastructure providers (Vercel, Neon, Stripe). These transfers are protected by:

• Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where applicable
• The data protection terms of each provider (Stripe, Vercel, and Neon each maintain their own data processing agreements)

By using our service, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, which may have different data protection laws.

8. Data Security

• Passwords hashed with bcrypt (12 rounds)
• Database encrypted at rest (Neon)
• HTTPS enforced on all connections
• HTTP-only, SameSite cookies prevent XSS/CSRF
• No plaintext storage of sensitive credentials

9. Data Retention

• Account data: Kept while your account is active, plus 30 days after a deletion request to allow for recovery.
• Usage logs: 90 days, then automatically deleted.
• Payment records: Retained by Stripe per their retention policy. We retain only subscription status and Stripe customer ID.
• Telegram data: Your Telegram chat ID and notification state are retained while your account is active. If you disconnect Telegram, the link is deactivated but retained for 30 days in case you reconnect. Deleted with your account upon account deletion.

10. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Rectify inaccurate personal data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Delete your account and associated data
• Restrict processing of your data
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest
• Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

To exercise these rights, email support@btcregime.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11. Your Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
• Delete your personal information
• Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information)
• Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

To exercise these rights, email support@btcregime.com with the subject line "CCPA Request." We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days.

12. Children's Privacy

BTC Regime is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that we have collected data from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@btcregime.com.

13. Changes to This Policy

We will notify registered users by email at least 30 days before any material changes to this privacy policy take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.

BTC Regime provides cryptocurrency market analytics for informational purposes only. We are not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial planner. Nothing on this site constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Past market data and backtested simulations do not predict future performance.
